I’m going to Haiti! I am so excited to be leaving in just 4 days. I can’t believe how fast this time has flown- it feels like just a few days ago I was in the uncertain application stage for this trip! It has definitely been a journey up to this point, and I have come a long way in my mental state about the trip. I am still nervous about the unknown factors, but I am also thrilled for thie incredible opportunity.
So for those who don’t know, I will be spending this semester (the next 12 weeks) studying abroad in Haiti. I am blessed with the opportunity to continue my nursing education on the island of La Gonave in Haiti with a group of 12 other nursing students. We will be studying maternal and pediatric nursing and working in the island hospital. We will have lots of hands-on experience and come back with lots of memories!
I won’t be posting here at Collegiate Curls for the next 12 weeks, but you can keep up with my travels if you are interested over at my personal blog Me and my Passport!
Thanks for making blogging this last semester so fun. I’ll be back in April hopefully with lots of stories and more tips for your next study abroad experience!
