I’m feeling the fall, y’all! Honestly, this past week has still been in the 60s mostly, and we even got back up into the 70s. But I’m taking every day of 50- or 60-degree weather and getting all the sweater-wearing out of them I can get. I’m obsessed with fall. It’s a problem.
So in honor of my fall break which is coming up for me and all the cold(ish) days we’ve been having around here in the Midwest, I wanted to do a fall themed post! I plan on doing a fall favorites post later in the season, but I just couldn’t help myself. I crave browsing sweaters and fall lip colors, don’t you? So here are some of my favorites and must-haves.
I’m a sucker for the classic sweater and boots. Can’t go wrong with an outfit for class consisting of a sweater, leggings, and ankle booties! Not only is it easy to throw together, but it’s ~so~ comfy!
I like to dress things up every once in a while, too. I usually pull a “fancy Friday” to shake things up a bit.
However, I am consistently inconsistent, so every once in a while, I go crazy with a “flannel Friday” instead! I don’t know about your campus, but it seems like you can’t go into any campus building around here and not see half a dozen students rocking a cozy flannel.
Autumn is my fave time for beauty as well as fashion. I love the freedom to play with darker, bolder lip colors especially! Nothing like rocking a rich berry or deep red to perfect a fall outfit!
I’m pretty consistent in a few things, and one of those things is my eye makeup. I almost 100% of the time wear neutral colors. I’ll range as dark as black for really special occasions, and no brighter than a gold or neutral shimmer. Here are two of my go-to palettes!

Cozy fall home things
One of my least favorite things about dorm living is that we aren’t allowed to have candles burning in our rooms. I mean, I get the safety rules and all that. But what’s fall without a cozy, seasonally scented candle tying together your room’s aesthetic? If I could have a candle, I’d definitely get one of these. (And you best believe I’ll be burning one every day when I’m home for Thanksgiving break)
And of course, cuddling up with a hot drink and a book in a cozy blanket is just the perfect autumn afternoon plan for me. I prefer cider or a rooibos tea!
What are your must-haves for fall? Let me know!
